International MSc in Molecular Biomedicine - 7th annual MSc Students' Conference 2024 "EXPLORING THE EXPOSOME: Environmental impact on health and disease"
The students of the Class 2023-2025 of the International MSc Molecular Biomedicine have organized the MolBio 2024 7th annual Conference, entitled "EXPLORING THE EXPOSOME: Environmental impact on health and disease" on Tuesday, December 10th 2024, at the Serafio City of Athens (144 Piraeus Street)
With more than 310 registered participants, the students' conference fulfilled all its promises.
In today's world, understanding the significant influence of environmental exposures on health has never been more critical. This conference will provide an in-depth exploration of the exposome —the complete array of environmental factors encountered throughout a lifetime— and how these factors shape health outcomes, increase disease risk, and interact with our genetic makeup.
The key topics to be discussed will include epigenetic mechanisms, nutrition, stress and aging, as well as the microbiome. These subjects will highlight the connection between environmental exposures and the development of chronic diseases.

Keynote lectures: Thales Papagiannakopoulos (NYU Grossman School of Medicine, USA), Joseph Nadeau (MaineHealth Institute of Research, Maine, USA).
Round table: George Chrousos (Medical School, NKUA - Hellenic Pasteur Institute), Nikolaos Thomaidis (Chemistry Department, NKUA), Antonios Chatzigeorgiou (Medical School, NKUA)
