The International MSc in Molecular Biomedicine actively participates in the CIVIS Europe's Civic University Alliance, a pioneering initiative under the European Universities initiative of the European Commission. It unites 11 leading research-intensive higher education institutions across the continent (including the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens - NKUA), forming a dynamic academic community of over 470,000 students and 58,000 staff. Through CIVIS, students and academics have access to a wide range of opportunities for transnational learning and cooperation.

● Connecting Our Students Across Europe

Since the launch of CIVIS in 2019, 39 students from our MSc programme have been competitively selected to participate in international CIVIS programmes abroad. Thanks to CIVIS-funded mobility scholarships awarded to outstanding graduate students, they have attended advanced courses and training programmes hosted by partner universities across Europe, gaining valuable international academic and research experience while representing our International MSc in Molecular Biomedicine within the European university community.

● CIVIS and Blended Intensive Programmes

Among these opportunities are Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs), an innovative Erasmus+ mobility format combining online learning with a short period of intensive physical mobility at a partner university abroad. BIPs bring together students and academics from different CIVIS universities, promoting internationalisation, interdisciplinary learning and the exchange of expertise across borders.
