
How to apply?
Applications must be completed and submitted ONLINE only through the Online Application Form button (see at the bottom of this page: "Apply here"). All the following application materials are generally required for the online submission:
1. Two Reference Letters
To be written in Greek or (preferably) in English. They must be sent directly by the referees to: molecularbiomedicine@med.uoa.gr Note: Do not send to any @fleming.gr address. Letters must be received before the application deadline.
2. Portrait Photo
To be uploaded via the Online Application Form. Do not upload your full ID or passport — only a portrait photo.
3. Short Video (Optional)
To be uploaded via the Online Application Form. A short video (maximum 1.5 minutes, under 100MB) in English explaining your motivation for applying to the MSc program.
4. Single PDF Document
As part of the online application, candidates must upload a single PDF file that contains all required supporting documents, compiled in the following order:
Curriculum Vitae (in English): This should include details of your education, academic achievements, research experience, work history, skills, and scientific interests.
Letter of Intent / Personal Statement (1 page, in English): This document should explain your reasons for applying to the MSc in Molecular Biomedicine, your academic and research interests, and how the program aligns with your goals.
Copy of Degree - Degree Certificate: If your degree or degree certificate are not available during the application period, include a Statement According to Law 1599/86 confirming that your graduation is expected. This statement must list any pending exams or coursework and must be officially submitted with your application.

Official Transcript of Records: A detailed transcript of your undergraduate studies, listing all courses, grades, and the date of degree completion. This must be stamped and signed by your university.
Certificate of English Language Proficiency (if available): Can be demonstrated through:
Diploma from an English-speaking institution
Official certificates at B2 level or higher (e.g., TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge, Michigan, LRN, etc.)
If no certificate exists, English Language Proficiency will be assessed during the interviews.
Additional Supporting Materials: You may include anything else that strengthens your application — for example, awards, publications, certificates of training or internships, or additional recommendation letters.
Important note:
All materials must be submitted by the stated deadline.
If accepted, you must present hard copies of all submitted documents and a printout of your online application on registration day (last week of September).
Late submission may result in cancellation of your admission.
Applications will be assessed based on the following:
Academic performance, especially in subjects related to the MSc curriculum
Final year undergraduate dissertation/project performance
Research or laboratory experience
Proven knowledge of molecular and cellular biology
Proficiency in English
Scientific activities or achievements relevant to the program
Reference letters (Greek or English)
Personal interview (in English), where candidates will discuss their background and interest in Molecular Biomedicine
Application's deadline: Monday, 30 June 2025, before 17:00 (Athens time). No extensions will be offered.
Evaluation process: All applications will undergo an initial evaluation. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview.
Interview invitations: Shortlisted candidates will be notified by email a few days after the application portal closes.
Interview dates: Typically 4 weeks after the application deadline.
Interview format:
In-person (mandatory) for candidates located in the Greater Athens Area or nearby regions.
Online interviews may be arranged for candidates from remote areas in Greece or abroad.
Final Results Announcement: Successful candidates will receive their official admission offers via email within one week following the interviews.
Enrollment and Document Submission: Enrollment takes place during the last week of September. On the day of enrollment, admitted students must present hard copies of all documents submitted electronically. Failure to submit the required documents in person and on time may result in cancellation of admission.
