Connecting Athens and Paris: Our Partnership with Sorbonne Université
The International MSc in Molecular Biomedicine has developed a dynamic partnership with Sorbonne Université, one of Europe's leading research-intensive universities.
● Beyond the Classroom: Discover, Connect, Explore
This collaboration gives our students new opportunities to:
-
discover different academic and research environments
-
learn from internationally recognised scientists
-
connect with leading researchers in molecular biomedicine
-
develop international scientific networks
-
gain research experience abroad
Several Professors from Sorbonne Université already contribute to the teaching activities of our MSc programme through established courses and lectures. These classes take place:
-
in-person at the Medical School - NKUA
-
in-person at the BSRC “Alexander Fleming”
-
shared hybrid courses and lectures connecting students and professors in Athens and Paris
This allows our students to interact directly with researchers working at the forefront of biomedical research and to discover new perspectives, approaches and scientific fields.

● Erasmus+ Research Mobility: A Historic First
For the first time in the history of the Medical School of NKUA, Master's students will undertake an Erasmus+ mobility programme as part of their studies. 5 students from our International MSc in Molecular Biomedicine will spend part of their Master's thesis working in laboratories of Sorbonne Université in Paris. This will give them the opportunity to:
-
experience a new international research environment
-
work alongside researchers and fellow students in Paris
-
develop new scientific skills and collaborations
-
become part of a wider European research community
The exchange will be reciprocal: our MSc programme will also host students from Sorbonne Université, giving them the opportunity to carry out part of their research training in Athens.
