Our MSc Students Ariadni DAMANAKI (Prof. Dimitrios Boumpas Lab - BRFAA), Athanasios EMMANOUILIDIS (Dr. Themis Alissafi Lab - BRFAA), Lampros KARKANIS (Dr. Panagiotis Verginis Lab - BRFAA), Marianthi MAROULI (Dr. Christoforos Nikolaou Lab - BSRC "Alexander Fleming"), Pavlina MICHA (Dr. Apostolos Klinakis Lab - BRFAA) and Artemis MONOGYIOU (Dr. Vassiliki Koliaraki Lab - BSRC "Alexander Fleming") have been selected among the top European students to attend the Summer School & Blended Intensive Program (BIP) CIVIS course "Immuno-oncology in the spatial omics era" co-organized by our International MSc Molecular Biomedicine programme and the Aix-Marseille Université (amU) - Institut Cancer et Immunologie (ICI) between 7-11 July 2025.
All of them were also awarded an international scholarship funded through the CIVIS fund and provided to outstanding postgraduate students to attend the international CIVIS program.




📌A Harvest of Awards for the MSc:
Artemis MONOGIOY was awarded there the 1st Prize of the Poster presentations
Ariadni DAMANAKI was awarded the 1st Prize of the "Spatial Omics Challenge", a team-competition for which students presented their own scientific project elaborated during the whole week of the Summer School. The winning team was headed and mentored by Dr. Aikaterini NANOU from the BSRC "Alexander Fleming", Greece.
Both competitions were evaluated by an international committee of renowned researchers, with the participation of 40 international students. Warmest congratulations to all! 🌟

This 2025 Summer School: "Immuno-oncology in the spatial omics era" (third edition) entirely in English, is designed for international MSc and PhD students in the fields of life sciences and medicine who are looking to further their knowledge and skills in the field of immuno-oncology research. The program includes tutorials, specialized courses taught by local professors, small-group workshops in local labs for hands-on experiments and data analysis, poster sessions presented by the students, a team-competition in which students design and present their own scientific project, and cutting-edge spatial omics seminars and in-depth research talks offered by Internationally renowned lecturers:
