MSc Lecture by Prof. Elias El-Habr (Sorbonne University)

On Friday 27 February 2025, we had the pleasure of welcoming Professor Elias El-Habr (Sorbonne Université, IBPS – NeuroSU, Paris, France) at the BSRC "Alexander Fleming", Greece.

Within this year’s International MSc in Molecular Biomedicine program, Prof. Elias El-Habr delivered the second course taught by a faculty member from Sorbonne University, following Prof. Bertrand Blondeau’s course last October. We sincerely thank our students (class 2025-2027) for their enthusiastic welcome and vibrant participation!

During his visit, Prof. El-Habr also met Prof. Maria Tsoumakidou (incoming Director of the International MSc program), Prof. George Kollias (current Director of the program), as well as Dr. George Panayotou (Director and Chairman of the Board of the BSRC “Alexander Fleming”). He toured the research laboratories where the MSc mobility students will soon be hosted, and visited the Fleming Museum of Contemporary Science.


Warm thanks to Prof. Maria Tsoumakidou, Prof. George Kollias and Prof. Christina Piperi of the Medical School - National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Dr. George Panayotou of the BSRC “Alexander Fleming”, Prof. Sonia-Athina Karabina and Prof. Bertrand Blondeau of the Sorbonne University, and Prof. Spiros Efthimiopoulos of the Department of Biology of the NKUA, whose efforts continue to strengthen this dynamic academic bridge between our institutions.
